How will you make sure you don't lose all the hard work you did this past year over the summer? A new language is a skill, and the more you practice the more you'll succeed. If you stop practicing, you will have trouble getting caught up. So, don't waste your summer! Keep up your Spanish! I will post something almost every week to give you some ideas for practicing your Spanish so that you don't fall behind. The first thing you will need is a bunch of post-its. Label everything in your room in Spanish, remembering the article ("la cama," "la silla," "la ventana," "el piso." Say the word for this thing every time you see the label. You can do this in your car, in your home (as long as it doesn't bother other people), and you can even use it with little post-its on posters or pictures so that you'll have not only the household vocabulary but also the words for things like animals or the environment. Don't forget colors, patterns, clothes, parts of the body. Be creative! Think of sentences you can put together using the vocabulary. Teach the correct pronunciation of the words to your family, and make it a game with them. They might enjoy joining in, as well!
